Melissa Dungan is a passionate mother of two who is ready to invoke change in the Conroe ISD community through her conservative and Christian values. As the wife of a former Conroe ISD coach, teacher, and administrator, Dungan has seen the challenges facing our most qualified educators. As the mother of two young boys, she understands the tough choices that face the parents across Conroe ISD. She firmly believes that our children deserve the best education possible. Our children's education should be provided in a safe and loving environment—an environment where division is not promoted. Our children are too often being prematurely exposed to sexually explicit content and unnecessary challenges due to special interest interference from those on our school board. She understands that the strengthening of relationships between teachers, district decision makers, and parents is the only way to improve student outcomes. Dungan has astute analytical and management skills from her 17-year career in oil and gas compliance management that will aid the district in addressing areas of concern and planning course correction. Dungan will serve this community well and aims to ensure that Conroe ISD remains one of the leading school districts in Texas. Dungan resides in Spring with her husband and two sons.
